TACTICAL COMMUNICATION AND STRESS MANAGEMENT

Presented By: John Wilson, Founder of CBL Training and Consulting (CBLTAC)

NOTE: Lunch on your own from noon to 1:00 PM.

TACTICAL COMMUNICATION (COMMUNICATION AND DE-ESCALATION):
This four-hour presentation provides verbal and kinesthetic tools to safely and effectively establish rapport, communicate, establish cooperation, and gain compliance in nearly any situation, on or off duty. This presentation will educate attendees on an original, highly effective, universal communication system (The Wolfson Formula) that will help professionals maintain their own behavior in stressful and critical situations, gain compliance from difficult people, and achieve cooperation where they might not have been able to do so otherwise without the training. The "Wolfson Formula" was tested and used effectively for over ten years in many criminal investigations and has been proven very effective. This presentation will also educate attendees about communication body language (effective posturing to gain and maintain rapport). "Communication and De-escalation" suits public safety professionals, government employees who interact with the public on a regular basis, and private employees as well.

COMBATTING STRESS (STRESS MANAGEMENT):
There are different types of stress working for or against us. "Combating Stress" introduces stress in surprising ways to the audience and defines source stresses. Then, using sound psychological concepts, it provides the audience with a model to gauge one's own current life stress level. After that, "Stress Management" shows the audience what actually happens to the body during acute and chronic stress events. After providing an in-depth look at the physiological results of stress, "Combating Stress" shares seven proven methods of controlling and reducing stress; both acute and chronic. Also, a psychological model of how stress affects our cognitive processes and behavior is demonstrated. "Combating Stress" provides knowledge, and like all other CBL Training and Consulting classes, provides practical tools to overcome the problem. In this case, instead of defeating an enemy, or controlling another person, we give the audience access to themselves!

This FREE training is open to CHMIA members and non-CHMIA individuals who are employed by a government agency. However, please note that priority in securing a spot for this event will be given to current CHMIA members.
