NOTE: Everyone will be released for lunch on your own.

Course Description:
This training will include three 60 minute informational, interactive sessions dealing with the intersection between: Federal EPA hazardous waste regulations (RCRA pharmaceutical waste); CalEPA-DTSC and CDPH regulations (non-RCRA pharmaceutical waste); DEA controlled substance disposal regulations; NIOSH/OSHA/USP 800 hazardous drug guidance; and DOT transportation regulations as they relate to hazardous waste. The fourth session will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet in small groups with the assignment of determining how to dispose of a set of pharmaceuticals for which they will be given appropriate background information.
